Unikie aims to become the leading AI Lab in the Nordics

Finnish technology and innovation company Unikie has announced a significant investment in artificial intelligence by establishing a new AI Lab aimed at accelerating the adoption of AI among its customers and expanding its own product development capabilities.
The AI Lab will be led by Unikie's Chief Technology Officer, Niko Haatainen, and supported by Peter Sarlin, founder and CEO of Silo AI, who has invested in the company. The lab's focus will be on device-centric AI applications, real-time quality assurance and process control, and internal AI tools to accelerate software development and improve work quality.
Unikie plans to increase its AI team to 100 specialists within the next 12 months, reflecting its commitment to turning AI into a tangible business enabler. The company's strong track record in developing and utilizing AI across various industries, including automotive, logistics, manufacturing, and retail, positions it as a key player in Europe's growing AI ecosystem.
With this strategic move, Unikie aims to solidify its position as a leading AI innovator in the Nordics and contribute to the advancement of AI technologies in Europe.
